BMW dealers generally do not void a vehicle's warranty solely for using wheel spacers, provided the parts are properly installed and do not directly cause a failure. However, if a suspension or wheel bearing issue arises and the spacer is identified as the root cause, the dealer may deny that specific claim. Our spacers are designed to OEM specifications (hub-centric, correct center bore, precision-machined) to minimize any risk of interference. We recommend keeping your original wheels and bolts for inspection purposes if you are concerned about warranty coverage.
It depends on the spacer thickness:
For spacers under 15mm: The original wheel bolts may protrude beyond the spacer surface. In this case, we supply matching extended bolts with every kit – no cutting or modification is required.
For spacers 15mm and above: The spacer design includes recessed bolt holes that accommodate the original bolts, and our extended bolts are used to secure the wheel.
We do not recommend cutting original bolts – it weakens the thread integrity and compromises safety. Our kits eliminate this need entirely.
